AZ: mexican worked with expired ID card stopped at nuclear plant

Last Wednesday Sheriff arrested a contractor worker Cruz Loya Alvares; reason for the arrest was suspicion of criminal trespassing on a nuclear power station. The contractor tried to enter the facility a day before but was refused due to expired Mexican consulate issued ID card. Next day he showed Arizona ID card and was allowed in by the guards but the ID card raised suspicion and authorities have been notified.
After the arrest is has been found out that Alvares was deported in 2000 and re-entered the country illegaly. The suspect is facing criminal charge of criminal trespassing at a nuclear station. Palo Verde nuclear plant administration pointed out that Alvares had no access to the protected areas of the facility.
