Texas considers voter photo ID requirement

Senators in Texas will start working on voter identification bill on Monday. The bill is expected to spike fierce partisan debate. According to state governor, Rick Perry “Fiscal discipline, balanced budgets and the integrity of the ballot are critical to the people of Texas,”. Democrats oppose saying voter ID bill shouldn’t be treated as an legislative emergency, they also argue that the bill, requiring photo ID card in order to vote would keep seniors and low income citizens from voting.

State of Wisconsin also recently considered photo ID card requirement for voters.
