40 mil cards offer extra protection against bending and cracking than our standard 30 mil PVC cards. Our standard 30 mil PVC cards (as thick as a credit card) are rigid enough in most applications. The 40 mil option provides additional durability for cards that may be subject to more frequent handling or wear.
